About Caritas Pediatrics and Wellness

Caritas Pediatrics was created for families in the Greater Austin Area to provide parents more options in their child's care.  We work alongside parents to make the best health decisions for their children.  Your children are our priority and will be treated as our own.

Caritas is Latin for love of one's neighbor in charity - which is the ethos of Dr. Roeder in the  practice of medicine. Compassion, respect, and understanding are the hallmarks of patient care here at Caritas Pediatrics. We value each child as a unique individual.

Vaccinations:  We believe that the decision to vaccinate is an individual one. Although vaccinations are not carried in the office, Dr. Roeder can discuss the risks and benefits of immunizations to allow parents to make a more informed decision. 

We believe that course of patient care and medical treatment are decisions that should rest exclusively within the individual physician-patient relationship - and not influenced by external corporate equities. To ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care, the clinic works on a cash pay  and membership basis; WE DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE. This enables Dr. Roeder to exercise her medical judgement in the best interest of your child's health care needs while offering price transparency. (We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, or bank draft withdrawal for payments. )

At Caritas Pediatrics, we believe in establishing a relationship with you and your family. Wellness visits are designed to assess growth and development, nutritional needs, and provide anticipatory guidance. Dr. Roeder will provide recommendations for optimizing health and safety for your child and ensure the child is meeting developmental milestones. Where needed, she will work with you and your child to implement a comprehensive approach to not only treat medical conditions but promote long-term health and well being. 

 It is preferred that all pediatric patients have a wellness visit to establish care thus providing a baseline health assessment with additional well visits according to pediatric guidelines.  After the initial visit, Dr. Roeder can provide consultations for more in depth discussions regarding health care concerns.
